I have a renault clio and my battery went dead, I bump started my car and now my car sits idle at 3000 rpm, what could be the problem?

You could have stressed the timing chain/belt. This would affect the timing and cause the problem.
Here is a link to troubleshoot all high idle issues, as you may have shook something else loose and have a vacuum leak, so you can have all possibilities at hand.
I do believe the stress to the timing belt from bump starting it is the problem as it is hard on the timing belt.
