1999 Pontiac Grand Am Automatic 135000 miles

When I drive my 99 grand am I here a very loud, continuous, whirring sound. As I pressed the gas (only while driving) I hear, "wer- wer- wer- wer werwerwerwerwerwerwer" and I feel a little grinding or rumbling beneath my feet. It's not the brakes because I just had them done and I don't hear anything when I applying the breaks.

If it gets louder when turning left and sounds like its coming from the front then you most likely have a bad right front wheel bearing. Do you have a jack and jack stands? If you do then I can tell you how to see if the wheel bearing is bad and which one.

Set the ebrake block the rear wheels jack up both front wheels so there off the ground and put the jack stands under the front front of the car. Then put the car in neautral go to each front wheel put one hand on the strut coil spring then while your doing that use your other hand to spin the wheel as fast as you can. If the wheel bearing is bad you should be able to feel the bad bearing in the coil spring. Compare both sides to each other. Let me know what you find.
