My car shifts normal on accelatration, in fact great. But if I slow down and it down shifts a couple of gear (but I dont stop). Then accelarate it up shifts VERY hard. Accelaration to cruse speed is normal and down shifting to a stop is normal. I changed the filter and fluid 2k miles ago with no change.

Has the check engine light ever come on? Have you checked for trans trouble codes?

I have not checked for trans codes. The check engine light has not come on. It has been doing this for about a year, I have been just compensating for it. Thanks

It could be the result of a few things. I would check for codes first. Otherwise, it becomes a guessing game.

I checked for codes with a reader and there were none. I drove it for 45 minutes and still no codes. Any thoughts?

It sounds like the governor or an issue in the valve body.
