Have a ping in the engine in the area of the crank shaft checked the crank shaft and bearings. Both look new and in good working order replaced oil pump thinking that might be it. Still no luck wasnt that what else could be making the pinging in that area of the car?

Got CEL (check engine light)

Check the knock sensor might not be retarding the ignition timing when it starts to detonate/ping-also the EGR valve -

The CEL is not on and all the sencers are good. I did take the vavle covers off and found several of the racker arms were loss ( as in the top of the arm itself moves freely) as if the lifters might be durty. Im goin to try that to see if it goes away.
