1999 Mitsubishi Colt 1.3 GL running battery dead when parked

My 1999 Mitsubishi colt has a brand new battery but when I park it for about a day it runs the battery dead! Is there a common electrical problem and also it is a bit smokey and is leaking some kind of liquid out the exhaust? Can you help

Go to how to repair on site and look under battery item 9 it tells how to check for a parasitic draw. Check for leaking fluids onto exaust manifold.
