Blinking service light and odometer and gauge malfunctions

Hello, ok Ive been having a battery problem I just changed my battery but now here this evening I got about two or three blocks from my house and I noticed that my lights were dime and getting dimmer and before you know it the car was jolting and not going steadily then died and fortunately I had battery jumper right there to jump it now I know that when the service engine light is illuminated is bad but when it begins to blink that that is a code of some kind and the airbag light was now also illuminated could this all be the battery that I just got to be probly the true problem? I hope

Check engine light on
Have the computer scanned for code/s-you have a problem within the engine management system that caused the CEL to turn on-This is your starting point of diagnosis, finding out what's going on.

Go to Autozone and have it scan for free or get your own scantool-
