Engine stalls when put into gear

In the morning when the car is switched on it cuts off when put into gears drive and reverse. Also if you step on the brakes it also cuts. The gear box was previously repaired. But now the car cuts when placed into gears drive And reverse. If emergency brakes are stepped on the car also cuts.

Get the mechanic that did the repair to check that the engine loom has not be damaged and all connections are plugged in correctly and locking clips are installed and tight.
