My Rodeo just died

My rodeo just died. It stared knocking in the engine and the just completely died. There is no power to I can't even crank it over, no lights and no horn. I just bought an alternator but want to be sure before I put it in. Do you have any ideas?

Have your battery charged and tested first and then see if it runs before changing anything. You may be a bit premature on the alternator idea. Unless you know something you haven't told us.

Nah thats pretty much it, I just thought with the power failure and the knocking noise that it was the alternator.
