I changed the gearbox of my Isuzu Bighorn from automatic to manual transmission and its moving but the check engine light is continuously on. What could be the problem now with the engine.

The problem is that you switched from automatic to manual and the computer is looking for the trans connections and electrical components. It can't go to closed loop like it should

So what should I do to stop the check engine light? Or is it okay just like that? Wont it cause problems/ damage on the engine?

Put the automatic trans back in or have it rewired for the manual an d computer reprogrammed for a manual. No it won't hurt the engine it will stay in open loop all the time and will not pass any emission test s if it's required in your area and your gas mileage will be bad.

Thank you will try the rewiring and reprogramming the computer to the manual gearbox. Will inform you of the results after a week.
