I am about to buy a holden jackaroo for a thousand dollars from a wrecker but it has clutch problems and a loud ticking noise coming from the engine. Sometimes it has a very loud knock that's also coming from the enygine area. Do u think it might be worth trying to fix? Don't know what else might be wrong with the 4wd

Knock is bearing noise, that car belongs just where you found it at the wreckers. This will cost you more than the car is worth to fix, that is why it was sold to a wrecker in the first place.
