Vehicle idles up when vehicle gets warm. Have to put vehicle in neutral to stop vehicle on snow and the idle goes to 1500 rpms. After sitting for a little while the idles drops. Idle doesn't go down when you take foot off the pedal.

Has the check engine light come on? Have you checked your idle air control motor? Have you checked for vacuum leaks?

I have checked for vacuum leaks and replaced iac motor. The idle goes down eventually if you sit there for a while. But right now I plowed a fence down because the idle would not go down when I applied the brakes. The check engine light has been on for about 2 years and it has been the same code the whole time.

What code are you getting from the check engine light? Also, have you checked the throttle position sensor (TPS)?
