1999 Ford Falcon Aircond not cooling

How do I access the aircond filter - to clean it?
Its a standard 1999 falcon au xr6.

What do I check for after checking filter.
Switches are working but hasnt been cooling hardly at all for ages.

Switches ac & ac max for aircond, on my other AU 1998 sedan work very occassionally.
Is there an easy fix or known issue?

No cabin filter fitted to this model, check that the refrigerant level is not low, you will need to get an A/C tech to check this with a twin gauge manifold set, you may have a leak in the system, this is the most common problem with no A/C cooling.
