The starter will not disengage once the truck is running. I have replaced the starter.

remove the starter and bench test it, sounds like the bendix is faulty, this can happen to reman parts, when starter is out of truck inspect the flywheel teeth on engine for any wear or burring you will need someone to turn motor by hand while the other inspects
