Blower motor in 1999 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor not working. Defrost, fan speed set on high, temperature **** set at Hot, to heat coming through the air vents. Possible bad blower motor? I can hear the brushes of the fan spin when forced heat from engine going through heater core, and into blower motor. Any advice would greatly appreciated.

The blower motor does not work on low, medium or high fan speed. It seems when I drive the car, I put my hand up by the defrost vents by the windshield, and can feel just a little heat but not enough heat to be blown through if it was on low. I have to tap the blower motor under the dash to get it going, but hardly works at all.

Is it difficult to replace? I located a good used blower motor at a local salvage yard for $35.00 It has to be located behind the glove box (passenger side) under the dash with possibly 4 bolts holding it in place. Is this correct? Thank you

Yes, it's not hard to change but I certainly would put a used one in. That's nearly as much as a new one. Yours is in the engine compartment.
