My glovebox door recently falls on the passengers lap when opened. Something used to hold the door up and now has broke. What should I do to repair it?

There appears to be some type of tie down material broke inside to the right of glovebox that looks snapped. Was is that?

There are supposed to be two little "stopper" like protrusions on the glove box that catch before it spills out. They are flexible, allowing you to easily bypass them if you need to drop the glove box to get into the dash. I have no idea what they are called but it sounds like they snapped off or are missing.
BTW, I know this is a really old thread but I figured I'd post the answer for anyone who was looking.
