Why do I get hot air out of the vents when I turn on the AC.

I checked under the hood and the AC unit is cold. When I turn on the AC on the climate control unit I only get hot air out of the vents. I opened up the hood and checked the AC unit and it was cold.

could be your blend door is failing to move due to damaged/bad actuator motor.

bad news is you have to remove DASH to get at it which is fairly complex procedure. i'm searchin for any shortcuts.
