1999 Dodge Stratus Front end

The problem I'm having is when I turn to the right I here a grinding or rubbing and the same when I turn to to
The left I bought a cv axle shaft cause someone told me that was it
I want to no is it the axle or something else I don't want
To drive it I don't want to break any thing off I jack the
Front end up put it in first gear and turn the steering wheel
Left to right while the car was running but did not hear
The grinding or rubbing while the tires r off I did here
Something from the shaft at the rotor end like it is something
Lose and that was on the driver side

No I have not check the wheel bearing how do I check

With the wheels off the ground put the transmission in neutral then put one hand on the coil spring. Use the other hand to spin the wheel as fast as you can. See if you can feel the bad bearing in the coil spring?It should feel smooth. Compare each side to each other.

No have not checked wheel bearing how u check
Wheel bearing and where is the wheel bearing

I just told you how read my above reply if the bearing is bad you will feel roughness in the coil spring while spinning the wheel. The bearing is in the cent of the hub around it. Some are integral with the with hub and some are pressed into the knuckle. Lets first see how the bearings are.

Ok thanks I will try that so the tire as to be off and all I'm looking
At is the rotor and breaks I really don't no where the coil
And bearings are is there a pic so I can see

The tires have to be on the coil spring is the big spring on the strut the holds the weight of the car.A pic wont help you check the bearing but I will see if I can find a pic.
