How do I replace the tranny solenoid pack on my '99 Chrsyler Town and Country LX van?

It is done externally. Remove the harness, reomve the bolts and remove the pack. Use a new gasket as well as a new pack. It will have to learn how to shift correctly. About 50 miles.

Assuming it is bad, what is the original issue
