2 nights ago, my brake petal was easier to push than normal and I had to push down on the brake petal a little harder than I usually do in order to stop. My brake light came on. I pulled over, stopped the car, started it back up again, and everything was normal.

Today, I saw a puddle of oil under the driver side of the engine. It was clear oil and cool (I've been driving for an hour). After examination, I've found where the leak is coming from, but I don't know what this part is.

I've attached some pictures of it. It sits in front of the master cylinder.

Can this be repaired? Should it be replaced? What is this part called?

Ok, thanks

that is the hydraulic portion of the abs controller. It will have to be replaced as the unit is not servicable.

Is there a specific part or name for me to look up? I was searching for an abs hydraulic unit and what keeps showing up is a brake booster.

That's a little pricey. Is it possible to just replace the abs pump and keep the abs module controller? Or is this something that I need a completely new set?

When I google the part, I see that it can be sold separately.
