Lights on S-10 kills motor

Lights ons10 went dim one night so replaced alternater, now when you turn lights on it kills motor

It sounds like you have a problem with the lighting wiring. I would be checking the whole lighting harness very carefully. Also you should have the alternator and battery tested, just to be sure that they are good.
