The fuse that works for the trunk release and the gas door was broken, I replaced it, it worked, two seconds later I get a smell of something burning. I replaced it again and I got the same thing, Do you have any idea of how I can fix this? What wires coming loose could I check? There was smoke in the trunk so there must be some kind of wire shortage.

Have someone else replace fuse while you watch in trunk. Maybe you can locate problem area and cause.

Actually I replaced it myself. Its a 20amp fuse as soon as I put it in, it sparks. The name of the fuse is the Convenc 20a.

You may want to take liners out of trunk and look for harness that has been compromised?
