1999 Cadillac Deville brake lights

I can start the car, apply brakes several times. Eventually the brake lights will not turn off. I then can turn on emergency flasher for a couple minutes and the brake lights will turn off?
Then it's fine until the next time. And hope I don't forget to check and make sure they are out, because if I do forget, then I have dead battery

Check brake light and t/s switch might be a bad brake light switch or btsi capacitor.
