Hi I have a 1999 park ave and am having some kind of electrical issue the auto headlights are staying on all the time, and all of my interior lights/headlights are flickering intermittenly while the car is on and also while the car is off also as this has gotten worse the engine has also started stuttering and missfiring. It has new pluggs wires air filter and pcv valve I also just tested the voltage regulator and battery the voltage regulator tested fine on the ohm meter but the battery was shot so I just put a new one in and its still no better

No check engine light. Also I forgot to mention before I just filled the coolant resivoir about a month ago and the low coolant light just came on again today the resivoir was dry again so I filled it up again and also did the fuel filter. I thought it might have been the fuel filter because when driving, if you baby it up to speed it doesnt misfire. But if you get on it, it would misfire like a *******. But the new fuel filter didnt help.

Think dealing with couple seperate issues. One as to electrical need to have scan done of Body Control Module. Second as to miss and coolant loss suspect either intake or head gasket failure allowing coolant to enter combustion chamber causing miss. During AM start up does exhaust have a white smoke? Does oil look normanl?

Ill have the bcm checked out, but the oil isnt cloudy and it doesnt smoke at all. I was kind of worried it might be related to the manifold/gasket falure that these engines are prone to but I wasnt sure if it can happen without any of the warning signs like cloudy oil or smoking? I inspected around the upper and lower intake manifold and didnt see any signs of leakage if its leaking internally is there any other tell tale signs other than cloudy oil or smoking?

A test can be done where cooling system is pressurized and plugs pulled then crank engine if coolant comes out plug hole then gasket failure. And yes engine known for intake failure
