What could be the reason my car won't shift into next gear without letting way off of accelerator?

When in drive with car accelerating when it should shift up the car will not shift, the rpm's increase car will shift into next gear when you let way off of the accelerator. Fluid level fine. Fluid color fine no burnt smell no leaks. Problem was immediate no past warning signs such as previous slippage, etc.

Try cleaning the EGR valve and port and see what happens before you replace it
