I start the car there is a extremely loud jet/airplane like sound?

As I start my car in the morning, or after the car has been off for a while. I noticed that when I start the car there is a extremely loud jet/airplane like sound when I start the car. Its last for about a minute and then it goes away. What could be the cause?

Hello,

It sounds like you have a noisy secondary air injection pump.
On cold starts the air injection pump come on and pumps air into the exhaust system to lower emission.
It sounds like the motor of the pump is starting to fail.
The secondary air injection pump is located at the back of the engine (see diagram below).
