98 passat 1.8Turbo what would cause a condition where the car cranks and starts for a half a second than shuts off.... 3 of the 4 coils are delivering spark for about 5 seconds of cranking than no spark anywhere. Fuel Injectors are delivering fuel like they should. Car was running good than shut off on highway. Timing belt is good. Compresion is good. Only CEL. Code is a P1559 Is it normal for the oil pressure gauge to blink and beep while cranking and not starting. Please Help. Thanks

Sounds like you may have a few issues.

p1559 is a fault for your throttle actuator, which is pretty common on your vehicle, the throttle body most likely needs to be replaced, a faulty throttle actuator would cause a no-start. However the fact that the ignition cuts out after 5 seconds is obviously troubling. I'd be looking at a possible crank sensor issue.
