I just bought a car but it started to light up the check engine. It also started to shake while its on a stop its shakes a lot more when its on reverse. After driving it for a while it started to also get hot inside without having he heater on. We checked the engine and noticed it was pretty hot we don't know what the issue is and don't want to pay a lot since te car was expensive it self.

First, we need the code. It may be a missfire from one of the cylinders and the cat converter is overheating giving you the hot feeling. Get it checked asap before you damage the expensive cat converter
