How do I change the EGR valve position sensor

Car engine light on and after I reset the light it is ok until I refill with gas and then the engine light comes on again. I have purchased a new cap but that didn't work. I would like to replace the EGR valve and the position sensor. What do you think?

No, dont do anything until you have the code checked first. There are over 1500 possible codes.
Do not throw any parts at it till you have this checked. Do not clear the light as it does nothing. The tech repairing the car needs freeze frame info to see when and why the failure occured.
