I got my car back from a mechanic less than six months ago. He was working on a cracked head. It has done this ever since I got it back. It sat at the mechanics shop for over a year and a half with a full tank of gas in it. He said he cleaned all the old gas out of the tank but I don't know for sure. But as I'm driving down the road the rpms starts to get lower and it dies.

So you have a SL1 model saturn? So it runs great till a half of a tank of gas?Any codes? It almost sounds like there is water in the tank.

Yes, it runs perfect till half a tank. Doesn't show any codes or anything. Just gets to half a tank and dies but then it will start right back up but continues to randomly die till I get more gas. Still gets great gas milage and gives no other problems.

Look up under the rear of your car see if your gas tank looks all sucked up?If it doesnt try buying a good fuel drier not the cheap ones and run a tank of like chervon gas just 87 octane.
