I have recently had my head gasket replaced

I have recently had my head gasket replaced. The mechanic wasn't able to flush all of the oil out of my coolant and the resevoir now has a thick brown gunk in it. He advised me it will need flushing again in a month or so. Is it safe to drive for that month?

Yes it's ok, if you can take the tank off and dump content s out then use mineral spirts to wash it dump that then use like dishwashing soap to clean and then rinse well you could do it your self.
