1998 Nissan Altima car switch

My son broke a piece of metal inside the car switch and now I don't know how to take the piece out ,we can't afford to buy the new piece, my husband try to turn on the car with a tool it actually turn on but the car won't move out from parking and we have no way to use our car we really need our car back please help me.

If the ignition switch was damaged, the only thing you can do is replace it. If there is a piece of metal stuck in it, try a magnet. If that doesn't work, you will need to remove the key cylinder and then try to get it out.
