In the engine compartment or out?

I'm doing an engine swap on my 98' Nissan 200SX(GA16DE/ManualTrans) and it seems it would be easier to pull engine/trans together. Swap the trans and re-stab engine/trans as a single unit instead of trying to un-bolt/re-bolt trans inside the engine compartment. What's your opinion?
