Hi, 2.8TD. Car starts no problem, drives fine but I can't turn it off. When I remove the key the car is in shut down mode, IE: ignition lights off, radio off, tachometer on zero but the engine still runs. No immobiliser fitted. A friend says its a relay but I'm not sure which relay it is. Any suggestions?

Chck the fuel cut solenoid at fuel pump. If the solenoid remains in on position, the engine would not cut off. Unplug the wire to test and if engine cuts off, you need to check why power to it is not being cut off. If it continues to run, the solenoid is stuck open.
