Just arrive to auto repair shop. The alternator lamp was on and the wheel started to shake. The initial quote was a Alternator belt broken. After reviewing the damage the mechanic said the crankshaft damper was broken.

Is this related. What is the estimate repair cost?

Yes, the alternator not charging and a broken belt are related to the harmonic damper.
