When I slow down to about 10 MPH or less, I hear a groaning noise and my brake peddle depresses a little bit. It feels like my antilock brakes are trying to ingage. As soon as I speed up a little bit it stops. It then drives normally like nothing happened. The brakes seem to work fine at normal driving speed.

I appreciate your advice. Glad to find you online. I'm leery of going to a shop with out having an idea of what the problem is.

Not being able to see vehicle a diagnosis over the internet most difficult. A groan is not much to go on but being it is your brakes I suggest have it looked at. The groan maybe the ABS pump activating but a scan of ABS would need to be done to find out why.

Does the ABS Pump have a fuse that can be disconnected? I have no need of AL Brakes where I live.
