1998 Jeep Wrangler 98 4l 6cyl Alterntor Tests Good Won T Charge Battery Jump

I have a 98 wrangler 4l, 6cyl. Alterntor tests good, but won't charge the battery.
If I jump it from another car it will run while cables are attached and shut down when they are unhooked.
Any ideas on the problem?
