is there a way to check /test the voltage regulator ,this year models in the ecm?

If not operating properly will set MIL light can check voltage at BATT terminals should be 14.5 to 15.5 with a fully charged BATT

Mechanic couldn't check voltage reg. he replaced alternator and that fixed problem .
