Engine Surging at idle and while driving.
1998 HONDA ACCORD
Hello my car will sometimes randomly just start surging when idle or when driving, anywhere from 800rpm at idle to about 1500 rpm. I had it checked for codes and it gave none.
I recently had a thermostat replace but it looks like they did a shoddy job and left a clamp on the thermostat housing could this be what is causing this issue?
have the same problem?

Check the IAC it is responsible for the vehicle's idle.

I think I found the problem there is a screw missing in the thermostat housing. Could this be it?
