Just replaced my rear brake pads and 1 rotor on passenger side pads on both sides, after 35 days the inner brake pad is worn down to the metal (passengers side only). Could it be the caliper is not releasing the pad or stuck. When pushed the piston in to replace the pad it seemed to move freely. Am I forgetting any clips attached to the pad and caliper?I ve done over 500 brake jobs and never had this problem. 1998 gmc jimmy rotors, not drums Clips?

Are you sure the caliper piston is releasing as soon as you release the brakes? You may have a bad rubber brake hose that isn't allowing the fluid to return right away when you release the brakes. Lift the vehicle and remove and spin the tire. Does it spin freely? Next, have a helper apply the brakes. Does it stop? When he releases pressure on the brakes, does it turn right away? Also, are the slides on the caliper free and clean?
