Can I use synthetic oil for my engine? I have never put synthetic in always have been conventional oil. Will it cause leaks if I put in synthetic oil since none of the seals have not been changed i believe? The reason why i ask is because the engine has a ticking sound on the passenger side and stays throughout the whole drive cycle, it gets louder with acceleration. http://youtu.be/oU0cgj8XkQ4 here it is just at idle.

You can use synthetic oil and it shouldn't leak through the seals. However you may some usage because all the mineral oil has to work it's way out.
