What I was trying to point out is while I cannot get the gauge to go below the I can add gas and watch the needle go up to full. So while it is stuck trying to go below a half tank I can add gas and get the needle to go up. Ism not stalling. The car runs good. Hope this helps. Thank you, ed

Sounds like your sending unit in tank is no good there is atsb on this to replace the part to an updated one. But it won't be covered under warranty due to age.

Ok thanks for the info. What is tabs and to get at the sending unit does this mean I have to drop the tank. Where exactly is the sending unit on this model. Thanks, ed.

The sending unit is int eh fuel tank and may be part of the pump so the whole thing has to come out. If you are extremely lucky there may be an access plate to get to it under seat otherwise you'll have to drop the tank to access it.
