Master cylinder

I have a 98 crown vic police package. Is there a difference in the master cylinder for that and a regular master cylinder? I was told the traction control but I dont use that anyways so couldnt I use a regular master cylinder?

Maybe it's a fitting size difference? The parts store price is just couple dollars different? But special order. Do they make a rebuild kit?

They say its just the traction control. And its almost 2 times the cost for a PI master cylinder over a regular MC
