1998 ford Contour 2.5L DOHC:
Leaking all the antifreeze somewhere on driver side of engine looks like in an area above the starter. Looks like just below where the main radiator hose goes into the engine.The leaking coolant is pooling underneath where the main radiator hose(2 conections) goes into the engine. Took off hose, not cracked. Replaced thermostat.
I't 15 degrees here and 5-6 minutes after the car is running its starts smoking badly from the back and middle areas of the engine... then the cooling fan kicks on (within the 5-6mins) before all the coolant drains out of the resivour.? Temp gauge doesn't get hot..... Is the freeze plug in that area?
