1998 Dodge Ram Dodge sputtering

My trouble is when I start it for the first time in the morning it sputters and dies unless I hold the gas pedal down a little till it warms up a bit. Once started the truck sputters when you accelerate.

I have also changed the spark plugs and wires.

Check fuel pump pressure. Also, if the check engine light is on, have the computer scanned to determine if there are trouble codes related to this issue. Most parts stores will do it for free.
