1998 Chrysler Sebring tachometer

For some reason the tach started running backwards. It "zeros" clockwise and "runs" counter-clockwise. Every once in a while it will work properly. Nothing has happened to the electrical system such as a short or dead battery or even battery removal. It just started running like that.
