With my 98 Chev pickup the bright lights only work when the switch is on. I actualy turn the light swtch from parking lights to on so I have both options. Is this a switch problem? Are there any known problems.

I guess I missed something? You expect the brights to work with headlamp switch off?

Sorry not explained well. When my headlights switch is ON the brights ONLY work. When I switch the bright on-off switch to the off or regular position, the lights turn completely OFF (dark).

Your saying the low beams don't work? In the diaGRAM, the tan wire is voltage for low beams, black wire is ground. You could use a voltage tester to check voltage and ground for low beam. Could be a problem with dimmer switch?
