I have a 1998 s10 2.2l at 70 mph the light flicker and amp gauge start to drop and once it acted like total loss of electric system for a second all gauges and warning light came on but the truck motor stay running

Have the charging system tested. With intermittent issues, you need to test when problem is ongoing. I realize, testing charging system circuits doing 70 miles an hr down the highway is problematic.
