I have a 1998 chevy cavilar it has the 2.2 engine three speed auto transmission. The transmission locked up will not move in any gear, I pulled the pan on the transmission and found pin bearings. I do not know where they came from other than the torque converter.

The transmission locked up will not move in any gear car running or not. I pulled the pan on the transmission and found needle bearings in the pan. The only place I could think of would be the torque converter. What is your thoughts on this. If it is should I go ahead and change out the transmission to?

Thanks Roger
