Have a 98 buick regal gs sedan. The "add coolant" light is on, the car is NOT heating up; and I've topped off the resevoir with Dexcool which was kinda low. Do you think if I drive the car for a day that the light might go off or do I have a bad sensor? Does the whole resevoir have to come out to replace the sensor? Any idea on ballbark repair cost? My mechanic says $150

This can be a head gasket/intake gasket leak. Make sure the coolant level is full if not have it pressure checked for a leak. It could be a bad sensor though as well if you aren't using coolant.
