I have 1998 Buick century that when I start the car it cranks but does not start. It has a brand new battery. Starter is cranking. There is sparks in the ignition. Also when I spary a bit of starting solution car starts. The fuel pimp has pressure. I was told it could be fuel injectors clogged. All six were cleaned but still no start. The fuel injector are not injecting fuel. What are the causes? Could it be related to the PCM. If I replace the PCM what is the correct procedure to swap it with another used computer.
1. How to check and replace the pcm correctly using another used PCM?
2. Is there a fuel injector fuse on buick century.
3. Could it be fuel injector short circuits?

Thank you

Check your underhood fuses first before replacing pcm and check ground to pcm as well. Then check your fuel pressure. 41-47 if a 3.1L or 48-55 if a 3.8L engines. If it is lower than that that may be the reason for not start.

Hi,

You lean towards the fuel pump. My question if it was fuel pump related you still get some gas into the system if the pressure is below the spec. By the way all fuses have been checked and fine. Alos at the rail there fuel pressure but did not check it with a apressure guage. What about the injector itself. Also if this is a PMC related no power is being sent to the injector. Can swap the PMC from one from the junk yard with the same service number.

Regards,
fred
